Our Story

Founded in 1981 by Gary E. Smith, P.C. Lic 614, Mokihana Pest Control has been serving the island of Kauai for over three decades. Our company's mission is to provide reliable and friendly service to our customers while keeping the spirit of 'ohana for both our employees and our customers. Our team is made up of certified pest control technicians who are continually educated on the latest industry standards through annual recertification seminars.

Our Team

Our team of technicians is comprised of knowledgeable and skilled professionals who are dedicated to providing top-notch service. Our team includes:

• Gary E. Smith, President, Mokihana Pest Control, Inc. PCO License #317, authorized Sentricon Inspector, State Certification E50805, 7B and 7C. Prior to founding Mokihana Pest Control, Mr. Smith worked for various agricultural endeavors and Xtermco, a highly successful pest control firm on Oahu.
• Ted Kimura, Operations Manager, Certified Pest Control Technician, Licensed Termite Inspector, and Authorized Sentricon Technician. Ted has over three decades of experience in the pest control industry and has been with Mokihana Pest Control since 1984.
• Craig Smith, Licensed Termite Inspector, Certified Pest Control Technician, and Authorized Sentricon Technician. Craig has been with Mokihana Pest Control since 2004 and holds certificates of completion from Purdue University for Termite and Pest Control correspondence course.
• DJ Dato, North Shore operations supervisor, Lead Authorized Sentricon Technician, Certified Pest Control Technician, and Termite Inspector. DJ has been with Mokihana Pest Control since 1993 and holds certificates of completion from Purdue University for Termite and Pest Control correspondence course.
