Protecting Your Home, Your Family, and Your Peace of Mind
I am Bruce Strube, and along with my wife Phyllis, we graduated from Keystone High school in 1975. After working for a large pest control company for five years, we decided to move back to Keystone Heights to open Lake Area Termite and Pest Control in 1994. Our connection to Keystone started when my Grandpa bought property in Keystone in 1945. So, we have been serving the Keystone Heights lake area with quality pest control and termite service for over 40 years.
Our Services
We offer a range of services including Bed Bugs, Fire Ants, Fleas & Ticks, Roaches, Rodents, Stinging Insects, and Termite Control. Let me show you the once a year pest control service we provide. The first step is to place ant and roach bait around your home, stopping roaches from getting inside. The next step is to spray around windows and doors to seal roaches and other insects out of your home. Inside, we place bait behind appliances safely away from your kids and pets. We also place bait in other out-of-the-way places. My goal is that you never see or come in contact with the treatment. The last step is to place insecticide in cracks and crevices in the walls. Not using SPRAYS inside your home makes our service very safe for pets and kids.
Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are more likely to be found in areas where humans sleep, rest, and remain still for long periods of time. For this reason, bedrooms and living rooms tend to be the areas you want to check for activity first, and the most popular location will be your mattress. This is because bed bugs tend to feed during the night and the CO2 that humans/pets exhale while they sleep is the bait that leads them out for feeding. If you think you have bed bugs, call us for a free inspection. Here are the most common signs of a bed bug infestation: small, dried blood marks on your linens in the area you sleep and signs of bed bug fecal matter in the form of small black spots.
Fire Ants
Fire Ants: For homeowners, this ant is the most feared. No one wants to be stung by a fire ant and have to deal with the painful aftermath. 95% of a fire ant's venom causes pain and pustules and 5% leads to an allergic reaction. If you have fire ants, it's crucial to treat the area promptly to prevent further infestation and discomfort.
